Saturday, March 24: 5th Annual LBJ100 Bicycle Ride - LBJ National Historical Park: Originating near Stonewall,Texas, Come join us for one of the premier rides in the gorgeous Hill Country of Texas! As President Johnson often told visitors to his beloved Hill Country ranch – "All the World is Welcome Here"! We want riders in the 4th Annual LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour to feel the same warm welcome and sense of Presidential history as those who came before them.
10-mile-family, 30, 42, 62 rides available, plus, new, an 85-mile ride, and, as in the previous years, Luci Baines Johnson will lead a tour of the historical landmarks on the ranch. The rides will start on the LBJ Ranch air strip, in quick succession beginning at 9 AM and the tour of the ranch will start at 2:30 PM. The registration fee includes supported rides with maps, rest stops with drinks, snacks and facilities, SAG support, and a post-ride hot lunch, plus the Luci Baines Johnson-led tour of the historical landmarks on the LBJ Ranch as well as a Ranger-led tour of the restored rooms in the Texas White House.

Saturday, March 31: Texas Men's State Chili Cook-off & Bar-B-Q Championship: At the Blanco County Fairgrounds in Johnson City. This Texas tradition is fun for the whole family. 2012 is the ninth consecutive year that this event has come to the banks of the Pedernales River in Johnson City. Cooking begins Friday evening. On Saturday vendors will offer treats and treasures from throughout the Hill Country, while the cooking continues. Activities include cow chip shuffle board and 42 domino tournaments.
